Modern technology gives us many things.

New Peloton Rowing Machine

The New Peloton Rowing Machine is a smart connected fitness device that brings the benefits of indoor rowing to the home. It’s the first of its kind from a leading fitness brand.

Like NordicTrack’s iFit rowing machines, the new equipment uses sensors in the flywheel, handlebar and seat to track your body position during workouts, then offer personalized adjustments as needed to improve form.

Swivel Screen

Peloton’s latest addition to its hardware lineup, the New Peloton Rowing Machine, comes with a stunning swivel screen. It swivels 15 degrees up and down, and can be moved left or right 35 degrees as well.

Like other high-end smart equipment, the New Peloton Rower is designed with the user in mind. It features a comfortable seat and handle that’s meant to release pressure points and encourage proper form.

The Swivel Screen is an incredibly cool feature that makes it much easier for the user to follow along with their favorite classes. There’s also a built-in leaderboard, which allows the user to track their progress throughout the workout.

The Swivel Screen also comes with a form-assist feature, which uses the same sensors used for the calibration process to provide real-time feedback on form errors during the workout. The feature displays a digital person’s body that moves in sync with yours, highlighting any areas where you need to correct your form.

Electronically-Controlled Resistance

The New Peloton Rowing Machine is the latest addition to the brand’s growing lineup of smart connected fitness equipment. Like the Peloton Bike, Tread, and Guide, it’s designed to keep your workouts challenging by offering a low-impact full-body cardio and strength workout with exclusive content.

The rowing stroke motion engages over 85% of the body’s muscles including the back, shoulders, and legs. It’s a great way to cross-train and improve overall health, as well as reduce injury risk.

It’s also a great way to get in shape, especially since the stroke is low impact and requires little space. It’s a popular third option for a full-body workout after fitness bikes and treadmills, and companies like Hydrow and Ergatta have been bringing this low-impact full-body workout to the home gym market.

Like all Peloton products, the rower is quiet and easy to use, thanks to electronically-controlled resistance. It’s also sturdily built with an ultra-thin belt and an easy-to-use touchscreen for classes and feedback.

Form Assist

Peloton has long been known for its signature form-focused technology, and the New Peloton Rowing Machine is no exception. During each class or workout, Form Assist monitors your technique and highlights parts of your body in red if you’re not utilizing the proper position and motion.

This is a great feature for beginners, because rowing is a complicated motion and if you don’t have proper form, your workout won’t be very effective.

The standard form assist feature highlights parts of your body in red when you’re not utilizing the proper motion and position during a row, but it now also offers text cues underneath if you make the same error repeatedly.

The rower itself is a compact piece of equipment, taking up only 16 square feet of floor space and folding upright to be stored when not in use. It also comes with a handy wall anchor to keep it secure when folded.

Form Rating

The New Peloton Rowing Machine prioritizes form feedback for an efficient full-body workout. That’s a good thing, as rowing is considered one of the best low-impact cardio exercises you can do.

The Form Rating feature aims to correct your form during and after every class. The system is programmed to search for nine form faults and provides feedback if you have them.

Rather than having to wait for someone else to help you, it’s designed to give you real-time visual feedback of your rowing technique based on sensor data. This helps you adjust your form and strengthen your stroke.

To enable this, you’ll need to calibrate your rower in the app before using it. This will then activate the Form Assist features.
